Dfference between collegue and high school

Dfference between collegue and high school

who can explain me what is the difference between collegue and high school in USA?

Grade school is grades 1 through 8.

High school is grades 9 through 12.

College/university is after high school, to get a degree(Bachelors, Masters, Doctorate, etc.).

so collegue and high school are different things but what difference is between collegue and university…i think it’s the same thing isn’t it?

Question: What is the difference between a college and a university?

Answer: Although there are a few differences between a ‘college’ and a ‘university’, the two words are used interchangeably in American English. Americans very often used the word ‘school’ to describe any place where people learn, including a college or a university.

A college can be a two year or a four year institution. A four year college will offer a bachelor’s degree and perhaps one or two master’s degrees. A university also offers a four year bachelor’s degree and many advanced degrees (master’s or doctorate).

From the same website mentioned above, here is some more information:

Cost

Question: How much does it cost to attend university in the United States?

Answer: Costs vary greatly and may be as low as $6,000 or over $20,000 for tuition. Living costs (room and board) can be expected at $8,000 - $13,000. Tuition at private universities will usually be double the cost of state universities. Tuition at two year colleges will be substantially less than a state university. Cost of living will vary from region to region with higher costs in large cities.

Financial Assistance

Question: Do colleges and universities offer financial assistance?

Answer: There are not many financial aid opportunities available to foreign students, especially at an undergraduate level. Even at a graduate level, cuts in funding have made it more and more difficult for international students to secure funding. Students should enquire about updates from specific schools announcing financial assistance.
