You have successfully installed BCL easyPDF, the easiest way to produce PDF files from any application.

Getting Started

BCL easyPDF is used like a printer. It creates PDF or Postscript files instead of printing to paper.

BCL easyPDF should now appear in the Printers folder [Start > Settings > Printers] as "BCL easyPDF." If Ghostscript* is installed along with BCL easyPDF, you can use the new printer to create PDF files. If Ghostscript is not installed, you can use the new printer to create PostScript (PS) files only.

To use the BCL easyPDF, print from your application as you normally would. Select the "BCL easyPDF" printer and specify the output filename and directory.

Some applications, like NotePad, will automatically print to the default printer when the Print option is selected. In this case, change the printer setup within that application before printing the file.

To set BCL easyPDF as the default printer, go to [Start > Settings > Printers]. Right-click on the "BCL easyPDF" printer, and select "Set as Default Printer."

To add or remove the Ghostscript component, uninstall BCL easyPDF using "Add/Remove Programs" in the Control Panel. BCL easyPDF can then be reinstalled with different options.

Technical Issues

Some applications may override the Paper Size selected in BCL easyPDF. In this case, the Paper Size must be changed within the application.

  • In simple terms, Ghostscript can read a PostScript or PDF file and display the results on the screen or convert them into a form you can print on a non-PostScript printer. BCL Computers uses GNU Ghostscript 6.51 (free software that comes with no warranty or support), and it is included in BCL easyPDF for your convenience. Beje pasirinkimas turėtų priklausyt nuo to, kokia yra dokumento autorinė programa, kokio tipo tai medžiaga (tekstas/matematika/iliustracijos?) ir kokia PDF paskirtis, ar reikia kokios nors struktūros ir pan.
