Topic for PRESENTATION
I have to prepare a prasentation for English lecture… But I don’t have any ideas about what… Maybe you can suggest something interesting?
Can you give more details what kind of presentation? High school, university, something else? How long, what are suggested topics, what level of English, difficulty, etc…
ghm… let’s see… Christmas is coming, so u might present something about it. about medieval Christmas for example 
I’m studying at the university filology and this presentation is for my credit… There are no topics… I can choose whatever I want… But I have no ideas…

I guess depends what interests you and how comfortable you are with the subject. You can always talk about some current political or cultural event, present a famous person, if you have an interesting hobby. But if you want specific ideas… Here are some that I had to do for my English classes and some other random ideas: Death Penalty (you can talk about two perspectives- the families that are subjected to a cruel event or the person on death row, the methods of execution and how horrible they are vs the crime that a person comited. Also, there is the whole humanitarian aspect of it, why does a state have a right to murder someone, etc.) I understand that there is no death penalty in Lithuania, but there is alot of material online about it. Genetically modified foods- what they do to animals, plants, etc., how humans get all sorts of things with with food when they eat gen. mod. foods (like antibiotics, animal drugs, etc.). Also lots of info online. Drugs- should marijuana be legalized, kids and drugs, etc etc… Teen pregnancy Advertisement and brand recoginition vs what people buy, what children want to have. There is a big issue in Lithuania now (what I gather from newspapers) with parents leaving Lithuania and leaving their children behind to take care by relatives and some of them sent to orphinages while parents try to make money. Changes in Lithuania since it joined EU Lithuanian education system (highschool exam pressure, etc) Some computer based ideas (if you know anything about it): Identity theft, credit card fraud online, spyware, Open Source vs. proprietary software, pirated software (or music, movies) I hope this gives you some ideas. Let us know what you end up doing. Here are a few sugestions for you (i know you didn’t ask and maybe don’t need them 
): Whatever you choose, try to narrow your topic, don’t do anything too generic. For example, if you choose death penalty, choose one aspect of it- how the victim’s family feals, or the right for the state to murder someone, etc. This way you can give intro to the general topic and then concentrate on the point you are trying to make. I still don’t know whether it’s a descriptive or analytic or something entirely different type of presentation, so some comments might be out of place. Also, when you choose a topic (I assume presentation is in English) try to choose something where you can find information online or other sources in English, so you do not have to translate. Avoid specific Lithuanian stuff that have un-translatable names- it’s going to be easier for you! Goodluck.
Maybe, U can make presenattion about your university, faculty, speciatization or smth. but it`s so much serious, I thing so… maybe you can find all information about one famous man and make presentation about him or her or you can choose country and show everything about it…
as you gonna be a filologist, choose something from that sphere… what subject do you need that presentation for? maybe something about rhetoric, persuasive language of advertisements, gender differences in language… if this topic doesn’t have to be serious, you can present some new models of cars… there are thousands of web pages about that… you can also see for cultural differences in music… and so on and on and on…

what topic have you chosen?
I have chosen a topic, which weren’t written there… Because of material… I had got a material about wedding traditions in LT… So I have talked about them… But I know that there will be lots of possibilities to speak on topics which were mentioned there… Because English exam is still waiting for me in spring…

so good luck in your exams … don’t forget to relax, because it’s very important… I’ll be informed tomorrow about the results of all the exams… I want to believe it won’t be a shock for me … talking about holidays… it will last only till the 6th of January for me…
And for me it will last until 7 of January… Then will begin my exams… Hrrrrrrrr… I don’t like learning… 
Do you not like learning or studying? I like learning stuff, but I would prefer to learn without doing any work.
