Turiu stiprintuvą Vicent SV-500, kuris man šiek tiek per silpnas. Galima būtų pasikeisti į galingesnį. Bet žemus jis taip atkuria, kad nieko panašaus nesu girdėjęs. Prieš tai turėjau Vincent 226 mkII, bet taip išėjo, kad neklausiau metus ir pardaviau. Puikus stipras, bet žemi turimam neprilygsta. Žemų rankenėlė tik pablogina Sad

Tai pagalvojau gal galėčiau nusipirkti dar vieną stiprintuvą, ir kai reikėtų daugiau garso, juos abu sujungčiau. Turiu 2 poras bi-amp'inių Tannoy V4i Mercury kolonėlių. Naudoju kolonėles sudvejintas poromis, kad būtų po 4 omus.

If you use two separate amps for your speakers, the crossover is bypassed because both speaker components are connected directly to their respective power amp. Theoretically, this should mean that high frequencies will be amplified by one amplifier while low frequencies will be boosted on another.

I feel that some people have a misunderstanding that by using several amps to bi amp or tri amp that the combination of several amps increases the total power to the speakers, that is not really true. The one amp that was used to power the bass driver in his speaker, the Phase Linear 400 is rated at 200 watts per channel at 8 ohms.
If a person then uses a 100 watt amp for the mids and a 100 watt amp for the highs, you are not looking at doubling the power to your speakers, in fact you are reducing the power to the mids and hi's by this method as if you just used the Phase Linear to driver all the drivers, they would all be driven at the 200 watt per channel level. An amp produces current to all of its range of frequency's if using a passive crossover all the upper freqencys would just not be used, but the amp is still putting them out.
Unless you use the active crossover before the amp, the amp will be driven its entire range at 200 watts per channel. You could use ten amps driving each driver and you won't get additional power it just doesn't work that way. Even with an active crossover in place before your amp is all it does is limit the amp to only amplify the frequencies that your crossover range that you selected for that amp, but it won't increase the amount of current. It might help reduce the amount of power the power transformer and the caps have to provide because it has less of a demand because it doesn't have to provide the power for the entire range of frequencies, but it will still only provide the 200 watts per channel that the amp is rated for, only just for that specific frequency range. That post I provided did show that the real gains for active crossovers are only if you remove the passive crossovers as they reduce the amount of power that your amp provides to your speakers.
But some speakers like the QLS-1's which use the Watkins drivers I beleive have some large caps in them, those caps use power from the amps to for better terms "charge up current" to help provide extra current on program peaks .
That is why those specific speakers would require some very technical engineering to eliminate the passive crossovers. A more simple speaker design like the Klipsch would be much less of a problem, as if I am not mistaken are a three way design with just three drivers.
But once again even in that design if you used three Phase Linear 400's one for each pair of drivers all routed thru an Active crossover with the passive crossovers removed you will still only see, a total of 200 watts driven per channel to the speakers, not 600 watts, per channel.
If you left the passive crossovers in place and triamped them then you would have at some point less then the 200 watts per channel driven to the drivers because you would lose some of your current to the passive crossovers.
I hope I explained that in a manner that you understand.

If you use a Phase Linear amp, they had a service bulletin when used on the Quantum Line Series speakers, because of the Speaker caps storing current, you needed to put a small resistor between the two speaker terminals. That resistor was to bleed off the current stored in the caps used for the Watkind DVC driver. Damage to the amp from current in those caps was a problem without the resistor.


I really think their are more qualified people here in AK to explain it, I tried my best, but its really beyond my techincal expertise.
